Karen Hill serves as a District Literacy Coach in Aldine ISD. She began her career in education in Aldine in the ‘90s and has worked in various districts in the Houston area, but she chose to return to Aldine in 2020. Her experience includes leading campus and district initiatives, working as a campus administrator, and her true love- curriculum. Mrs. Hill enjoys supporting teachers as they hone their skills in the area of literacy. She loves teaching writing and currently writes as a hobby.
Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, their four children, the spouses of their children and their solo grandson. She also loves playing with her 13-pound Cavapoo Princess Buttercup. (Yes, she’s named after the character in Princess Bride.)
Cooking, baking, reading, playing piano, and needlework are among the hobbies Karen pursues. In addition she has recently begun gardening and enjoys cooking the vegetables she harvests from her garden.
