Born in Meridian, Connecticut but a Houstonian to the core,  Judarrah Hawkins has devoted 14 years to the education field. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts/Mass Communication degree from Prairie View A&M University, she happily pursued her teaching certification from Lone Star College.  In 2013, Judarrah earned a Masters of Educational Leadership degree from Grand Canyon University. 

For the last 8 years, she has worked as a District Literacy Coach for Aldine ISD.  In this role, she has written district-wide ELA curriculum, provided countless professional developments, led numerous initiatives and focus groups for district change that leads to student achievement.
