Mrs. Jiles currently serves as a District Literacy Coach for the Aldine Independent School District in Houston, TX. In her role, she supports classroom teachers, instructional specialists and administrators in the implementation of the district's literacy curricula. As a product of Aldine ISD, she proudly gives back to her community with a commitment to ensuring equitable classroom instruction for all students.
Mrs. Jiles has 21 years of experience in education and has served Aldine ISD students and staff as a teacher, curriculum writer, presenter, and literacy coach. Prior to joining Aldine ISD, she taught for the Gulfport School District as a 4th-5th grade teacher and K-5 Title 1 Reading teacher. She also taught for Biloxi Public Schools as a 5th grade teacher and a K-5 ESL intervention teacher.
Mrs. Jiles earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, her Master’s degree from William Carey University, and her Principal Certification from Lamar University.
