Many secondary students struggle to learn important science content, vocabulary, and language. The presenter will describe evidence-based literacy practices that can be integrated during science instruction to improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, and science learning. These practices benefit all middle school students, but are particularly critical to the development of English learners.
