The year is 2036 and from high schools across Aldine ISD emerges the first graduating class to progress through the K-12 structured literacy program implemented in the 2021-22 school year. In this session, participants will gain a macroview of how units of study from CKLA, Wit & Wisdom and Odell HSLP work together to prepare those students to be critical readers, writers and thinkers. Participants will identify common themes which begin in the CKLA curriculum in grades K-5 and continue through Wit & Wisdom in grades 6-8 as well as Odell Education in high school, and they will learn how these common themes provide students with background knowledge necessary for continued academic success.
