Emy Tomita has been a bilingual educator for the past 14 years. She was 4th grade bilingual teacher in a transitional and dual language program (one-way, two-way, 50/50 & 80/20) for 7 seven years. She was also a middle-school librarian and a 5th/6th grade language arts resource teacher. In Aldine ISD, Mrs. Tomita has been a bilingual district literacy coach in the elementary level for 4 years. She has a B.A. in Portuguese Language & Literature, a master's in Bilingual Education from University of Houston - Main Campus, a graduate certificate in Bilingual Special Education, and Library Science. Currently, she is pursuing a Ed.D. in Bilingual Education at Texas A&M - Kingsville.
